Welcome to Pillaton Sheds,
Before buying a shed it pays to shop around, whether the end use for your garden building is for storing garden tools, as a workshop or as a home office - you still want something that was built to last and that was built with pride.

At Pillaton sheds we make most of our buildings to order and “tailor made” sheds are our speciality - giving you the opportunity to design the building that meets your needs (Size, Window position, Doors etc..).

We have some of our buildings available for you to view at our show site (e-mail or call us for details).

Delivery & assembly is not a problem either, we use our own skilled team of fitters who work all over the country.

Our standard construction consists of:
    • 13mm Tongue and Groove cladding
    • Heavy duty Planed redwood framework
    • Tanalsied floor bearers
    • Windows fitted with glass
    • A roof constructed from real wood (NOT SHEET MATERIAL!)
    • Heavy duty felt.
We can also offer the following options:
    • 19mm log lap timber.
    • Apex or Pent roof
    • Double Doors (Single Doors are standard).
So before purchasing a shed from a big DIY chain conscider some of these areas that lead to poor quality - less durable sheds:

Frame Size:
This is where your shed gets its strength (and what you will probably fix any shelves to). Many shed manufacturers construct the frame work from 28mm timber (this is not much bigger than roofing batten!).
Our buildings are constructed from 3” x 2” (50x75mm) timber (the size commonly used to build internal stud partition walls in houses!

Roof Material:
Sadly, here in the Uk we suffer from the odd “downpour”. A sheds roof is the barrier between what is in your shed and the elements.
Mass produced sheds are often supplied with OSB (or “strand board”), a sheet material made from woodchips - this material does not perform well when exposed to moisture and if it is not well supported it can sag.
Our buildings have timber roofs that are stronger, lighter and more resillient than composite timber sheeting (we use heavy duty felt on the roof as well!)

Payment can be made by cash on delivery or cheque in advance (cheques must be cleared before delivery).
